most obvious finals of the decade
English

This is why he refuses to retire.
He can’t pass MJ in rings or get rid of those 6 losses so he’s just gonna stuff the stat sheet and try to make everybody forget about all those finals losses lol

Shai was asked if he wanted to make his case for MVP
"Nah, I'm good. Thanks for asking, though. I let my game do the talking."

Wemby makes his case for MVP: "My first one would be that defense is 50% of the game and that it is undervalued so far in the MVP race. I believe I'm the most impactful player defensively in the league. Second argument would be that we almost swept OKC in the season, and we dominated them three times with their real team. My third argument would be that offense impact is not just points"

@Lakesdods2223 @CapSpubber @Plasmaposting @apathyDEFI @_6signxxx Who’s talking about coaches? you’re just annoying man 😭😭😭😭
English

@buteffectt @CapSpubber @Plasmaposting @apathyDEFI @_6signxxx The average cost of a ticket in coach in 1987 was about 50 dollars different that is not the difference between rich or poor. You wanna say it’s a little cheaper. Fine. You wanna say it was only for the rich that’s just not real.
English

Real question???
Why did we move away from having this much space to being packed like sardines??Is there a log!cal reason???

Delta Airlines Lockheed L1011 TriStar Cabin in the 1980's.
English

@buteffectt @CapSpubber @Plasmaposting @apathyDEFI @_6signxxx The OG point was more room in the 80s to now. It’s not as dramatic as it indicated, but for the most part that answer is they will lower their cost, fit more people, to maximize space, to make more money as much as we will tolerate for the experience.
English

@sappho_mia @wakandanpriince @Plasmaposting @apathyDEFI @_6signxxx And we should just ignore data because u have co workers right
English

@wakandanpriince @buteffectt @Plasmaposting @apathyDEFI @_6signxxx I’m not speaking for myself when I talk about travel. I’ve got loads of coworkers who can’t afford to travel. They’ve never seen the inside of a plane. The farthest they’ve traveled is maybe the next state and they’ve mostly stayed in the same time zone their whole lives.
English

@sappho_mia @wakandanpriince @Plasmaposting @apathyDEFI @_6signxxx So because u have coworkers who can’t afford to travel, you can now speak for the whole humanity scenario right?
English

@CapSpubber @Lakesdods2223 @Plasmaposting @apathyDEFI @_6signxxx No they wouldn’t. People couldn’t afford to fly like they can nowadays. Prices were crazy, it was something exclusive to the rich.
English

@buteffectt @Lakesdods2223 @Plasmaposting @apathyDEFI @_6signxxx True, but a large part of that is bc air travel was still relatively new and FAR more dangerous in the 60s-70s.
If commercial flight in 1970 was overwhelmingly safe + widely known to be safe + an established industry like it is today, those percentages would be very different.
English

@buteffectt @Lakesdods2223 @Plasmaposting @apathyDEFI @_6signxxx Also, a major reason why prices plummeted after the 70s is because the US government regulations that fixed high flight prices ended in 1978, causing prices to plummet in the 80s.
Optimizing production costs by cutting down on comfortability was only one of many contributors.
English

@buteffectt @Lakesdods2223 @Plasmaposting @apathyDEFI @_6signxxx You're right that the success of commercial flights is partially enabled by condensing the space to save on costs, but a global increase of 4.2 billion people and the commercial flight industry being well-established also has a lot to do with the difference you're seeing there.
