“The fact that you have to resort to the Japanese viewership is hilarious”

"Basically I said Sebby always excused the OG if it is doing stupid shit (basically less serious, humorous stuff), but heavily criticized Remake when the latter does it. I was ganged up on by angry accounts, and Sebby kept deflecting my opinions and then posted some videos comparing some OG vs Remake scenes. Sebby forced me into Sebby's way of argument as to see the differences between those scenes, to prove that Remake was betraying the OG. I know Remake did change some important scenes, sometimes for the worse, but the examples that Sebby posted were usually not the ones complained about by the fans. I answered, but conformed to Sebby's liking. I said of course it was different, but I meant that the essence of the two scenes was still there, the same. Sebby got angry, accused me of lying, and kicked me out." See, when you debate ANYONE, you can't let them take control of the situation. When you challenge them, back them into a corner, ask them for definitions, or know how to challenge their arguments, Sebby blocks and kicks. That person held their own against Sebby's weird ass fans too. I give that person props. Sebby's fans are fucking weird, because they are the minions and masters of deflecting and ad hominem.

Me dealing with Sebby’s fodder today:

The fact that you have to resort to the Japanese viewership is hilarious. The West is the biggest market for FFVII, yet they have been consistently failing to gain traction in the most important market. Meanwhile in JP, they're just not showing up to buy the games like they used to for FF in general. FFVII R has only lost steam there when it used to be a cultural phenomenon in Japan. The trilogy has only caused more friction with the OG fans there too.
