@xgremlynnx But it is unrelated. They took the assets and story and are completely remaking it to be an actual video game and not a gacha mobile game. The whole point is that its not going to be anything like the mobile game in terms of gameplay.

@DiesIlla0 tbf Xenogears covers so many ideas lol. It's packed with so many interesting and good story elements you could easily make a whole game's story from them.

@_Sanjuro_art_ FF7 was likely the first game to introduce/popularize cinematic cutscenes to gameplay and vice versa. It introduced an idea that you could have your abilities tied to interchangeable equipment rather than to characters. New standard for minigame engagement/variety.

FFVII es el juego más sobrevalorado de la historia, no porque sea un mal juego (original y remake me parecen normalitos) sino porque siempre se habla de él como uno de los RPGs más importantes de la historia cuando no inventó NADA y si no existiera el género seguiría igual.

@FattiestFat Nope. The OG one literally has big eyes and human shaped teeth. No lies there. If you deny that much then you are not being serious and just blindly defending the OG. Remake isn’t perfect ofc but not everything in the OG is and this unconditional defensiveness just proves bias

@PandaKingEX It depends on the angle they’re going for. If they are born from the planet, then looking more organic and monstrous makes more sense. The semi-mechanical designs of the OG were bizarre in a good way but made less sense given where they came from as the planet itself is organic
