@Molson_Hart And don’t get me wrong… @Molson_Hart is one of the higher agency/smarter folks on here, and even he’s susceptible to negative doomerism! I can guarantee he and his family will do great over the next 30 years and so will most high agency Americans

1. 7% during peak years? Lol, S&P 500 has a 10.5% return over the last 30 years and since 1957 when 500 companies were added… which has included multiple recessions. If you invested in a growth or tech index fund you’d be closer to 15% 2. Pension hungry boomers aren’t already the majority??? And you think future older generations will vote their own Roth IRAs to taxes? Laughable 3-7: doomer shit Molson, you’re much smarter than this… you don’t have to stretch doomer narratives for likes. American investors will be just fine and probably do better than 10% over the next 34 years!

In order for this to happen: 1. 10.5% returns over 34 years when market is at crazy valuations and USA averaged 7% over its peak years 2. No change in tax code - the USA govt will let young people keep their 401ks when pension hungry boomers are majority and vote at 70%+ rates 3. No broker or bank default 4. No personal need for the cash whose distributions are tax penalized 5. No civil war, communist revolution, invasion in the US 6. No change in management behavior around fiduciary duty 7. No major inflation in cost of living wiping out nominal gains You may think one or two of these are unlikely but in aggregate, the idea that this person will turn $100k into $3 mm without doing anything (because this idea has been heavily marketed to us) is abject fantasy.
Darrell Aden@darrelltalksfi

Even if I didn’t contribute another dollar, $100k in my 401k at 31 will be roughly $3M by 65. That’s what 34 years of compounding will do.

@BoringBiz_ Very true, never been easier to be high agency/disciplined and reach the top 10%… but also incredibly difficult to crack the top 1% due to many of the post-Covid pressures. A lot of people think they missed the boat and people trying to play catch up

You don’t realize just how easy it is to be in the top 10% until you see how lazy 90% of people are You don’t realize just how hard it is to be in the top 1% until you see how driven the other 10% of people are

The big issue I see with SaaS companies ($CRM $ADBE $NOW) is that most are still operating like it’s 2021-2022 (w/o revenue acceleration) with ZERO actual AI influenced changes to their core businesses. Everything is smoke and mirrors, zero AI benefits to business efficiency while HC and SBC still growing, failing AI products not contributing to revenue, attrition #s going up…. It can get more painful from here as @buccocapital has mentioned multiple times. I just don’t see how we see a meaningful rotation to software from semis/hyperscalers and that is going to be problematic for some of these companies. Expecting knee jerk decisions later this year and next from software names across the board.

@RobertMSterling @elonmusk This has been a practice going on for hundreds of years, just ask any Sikh/North Indian bordering the Muslim world why they still have so much hate against Pakistanis/afghans!

Afghan Army commanders brought their child sex slaves onto US bases; Marines got PTSD from hearing them get raped at night The governor of the district I deployed to had a basement rape dungeon And these were our allies, the “good guys” People have no idea how bad it is there
Matt Walsh@MattWalshBlog

Rape gangs are not some kind of aberration. Ask any combat veteran what they saw in Afghanistan. The sexual torture and slavery of children is utterly commonplace in Muslim countries. It’s part of their “culture.” Which is why it’s suicidal to import that culture into the west.

@RobertMSterling @elonmusk Yup, many horrific stories… sadly most civilians in the states have no clue and many think it’s made up stories to make Muslims look bad.

@LevantCarpenter @buccocapital Their “AI” product is dog shit and the exec team is stuck in 2021 with zero regard for operational excellence… not to mention they employ nearly 90,000 people for god knows what

@cactisheep @buccocapital Why tho? They’re very profitable and just acquired a major AI player in addition to $50b buyback, something is off
