This pass is incomplete as the current rule is written and applied. He gets control and 2 feet down for sure. *After* that, he must maintain control and he *must* perform an act common to the game *OR* have time to do so. The key word is “after”. He does not perform an act common to the game after the 2nd step. He doesn’t get an additional step down and the extension everyone is pointing out occurs *before* the 2nd step is down so it does not apply. In real time, he loses control very quickly *after* the 2nd step, so the time aspect is not met either. I would speculate the Competition Committee will look at this and discuss whether to tweak the rule to make this a catch (I think they should), but right now, this is an incomplete pass by rule.

@ripheyreb @BParry19 Much the way fans need to have patience with a young program, in the infancy of becoming a successful program. The team and the fans are learning how to win/support. Neither are “there yet”

@calebherring_ @BParry19 I agree but if we want to build the fanbase (and not have a wave going on offense) our fans need a bit of help. still a "young" fanbase and it wouldn't be instructions, just guidance

The meltdown is crazy from UNLV fans. For sure it sucks with the outcome & being dominated by Boise. But good hell, 10 wins folks with 2 returning starters is actually pretty crazy. If you said 10 wins and shot at MW title before the season, yall would take it in a heartbeat.

@ripheyreb @BParry19 Maybe.. but as a fan take pride in not needing to be told what to do.. know the game and be engaged (not you specifically but fans in general, it’s embarrassing to need instructions on how to fan)

@calebherring_ @BParry19 the media department/gameday experience doesn't help We need more "get loud" items on the board on defense and third downs and "quiet, offense at work" on offense you have some voice in the program, maybe you can pass that along?

@jasonkredline @Nick_Petroni @meJVT @BParry19 Frustrating for sure.. There is something intangible about the game of football that few understand. Boise has it, and UNLV doesn’t. It’s championship dna and you can’t microwave it or expect it into existence

Every single program in the mountain west has beaten Boise in at least one singular game. And us in the three best years in our programs history, 0-5 with an average margin of defeat of 17 points. It’s just brutal. Doesn’t discount all the other great things we’re doing, but all 5 games have been BY FAR the most important games we’ve played in. And despite having some really talented fun teams, we’ve come up short. Really frustrating.

If this is true… BYU deserves to be in the playoff, no?

@calebherring_ @meJVT @BParry19 I think there was a mix up there. I’m saying 10 wins and competing for a MW title is a reasonable expectation. I do think beating Boise once in 5 opportunities is reasonable too, though. And I can’t say for certain but I’d bet UNLV has better facilities than anyone else in the MW
