@raissawriter It’s a cautionary tale for all those na enablers ng mga politicians. Sila ang mabubulok sa kulungan while the senators will go on to be re-elected. 🤷🏻‍♀️

And, in a few years, a JD Vance presidency. Are we confident Trump will last the four years he’s supposed to serve?

What a hilarious spectacle: senators rushing to make excuses for Duterte on the war on drugs, and he makes fools of them within his unapologetic admissions. 🤮

@paulcatiang Also, he did not deny that they are there. Ang sabi lahat ng SK nakabalik na. I read through that meandering post 2x and there is no straightforward mention na wala (na) ang mga Villafuerte doon.

I mean, come on: what politician wouldn't jump at the chance to show themselves off being involved in relief efforts a few months before the elections? Are they in Siargao? We're not sure. What's certain is they're not on the ground. Bicolanos, please vote the Villafuertes out.

Kids, here's the difference between show and tell. Telling is saying they're not stranded in Siargao during the typhoon. Showing is having footage of them on the ground and knowing exactly which places have been affected. I

VILLAFUERTE DENIES CLAIMS OF BEING STRANDED IN SIARGAO AMID TYPHOON #KristinePH Camarines Sur 2nd District Rep. LRay Villafuerte dismissed allegations circulating on social media that he and his son, Governor Luigi Villafuerte, were stranded in Siargao while Typhoon Kristine ravaged their province. In a Facebook post on Wednesday, October 23, Villafuerte labeled the claims as "fake news" spread by their political opponents. "Ngayon panahon ng kalamidad, dapat lahat nagtutulungan at nagkakaisa. Pero ang mga desperado at sinungaling na kalaban namin nagkakalat ng fake news," Villafuerte said, denying that he and Gov. Luigi were in Siargao during the typhoon. He clarified that the photos being shared were from a previous event in Siargao over the weekend, before the storm hit, and that all participants, including Sangguniang Kabataan members, had returned to Camarines Sur by Monday. Villafuerte criticized their opponents for spreading lies and highlighted the relief and rescue efforts led by his family. He said they had mobilized rescue teams, provided rubber boats, and coordinated with national agencies and international groups to ensure aid reached those affected by the typhoon. He urged local officials, including mayors and barangay leaders, to also utilize their calamity funds to assist in the relief operations. Villafuerte vowed to continue posting updates on social media to counter the spread of misinformation, emphasizing that their priority remains finding solutions to the crisis. He also called on his critics to stop the "fake news" and focus on helping those in need.

Today at #SupremeCourtPH, we’re premiering a revamped podcast — more conversational and longer at almost 9 mins to make room for a more detailed discussion. It’s designed for lawyers, law students, judges, justices and anyone keen to do a deep dive on a case. Feedback welcome.
