On #InternationalWomensDay - and EVERY OTHER DAY - don't use words like 'empower' and 'celebrate'. Instead, use words like 'hire', 'promote', 'pay', 'raise', 'bonus', 'fund', 'invest in', 'enrich', 'give equity to', 'elect', 'lead' - and don't just say it, DO IT. #IWD #IWD2023

When you have to murder to achieve your utopian dream - whatever that might be -, you are only enacting a dystopian nightmare.

What is interesting here is: “a sister company to the nonprofit”. The for profit spin off not only present in the US but I also see ambitions of it globally. Looking forward to this future of solidly built enterprises, but dreading the commercial replication of NGO systems.

Imagine if other crisis were externally managed as well as this one is… The amount of PR behind this type of humanitarian appeals should be studied in the context of futures of aid. Can you picture Ben receiving a beautifully written thread about Mali or Congo and posting it?

The biggest compliment is when your ex-employer has to call an external consultant to do a full blown review to figure out how to replace the work you did across a myriad of areas.

In the climate conference, they will ask for your stories of how your village was wiped out by a cyclone and how the sea is swallowing the land. They will have a bit of a cry and thank you. And then they will do it again next year while the world continues to burn.
