@aso9nglobob @ThatsGami @DENGOJIN Tekken tag 2 was a party game for me. Most Tekken games were because I grew up playing them as a baby against my brothers. That being said, t7 has way more intense offense and defense. T6 and tt2 weren’t really fun games, to be quite honest.
Also in 8 I’m a Tekken god. Idk for 7
English

@choydev @ThatsGami @DENGOJIN Offense in 6 and especially in ttt2, which you seemingly forgot even existed because youre larping, was way stronger than in 7... the most boringly defensive game in the series. 8 is just way too od
You clearly have no idea what youre talking about, what is your rank in both 7&8?
English

@Bidya_James @Danny_W_Dowling @AaronAardvarkTK @DENGOJIN You don’t have to guess when you don’t get wrapped up in linear block pressure to begin with. When you dial in your opponents flow, you can make the right moves most of the time until they adjust in return
English

@choydev @Danny_W_Dowling @AaronAardvarkTK @DENGOJIN when your options are "guess a" "guess b" or "guess c" sorry but thats not gonna cut it
English

@aso9nglobob @ThatsGami @DENGOJIN There’s simply no comparison. Offense in 6 on backwards looks completely different than 7 on forwards, on average.
English

@choydev @ThatsGami @DENGOJIN Are you seriously implying old tekken games had weak offense? Did you even play those games lmao
English

@Bidya_James @Danny_W_Dowling @AaronAardvarkTK @DENGOJIN Options have always been around though, and every character has plenty of them.
English

@choydev @Danny_W_Dowling @AaronAardvarkTK @DENGOJIN yeah bro i hate it when my opponent has options and gets to do shit to try to stop my offense that shit suuuucks
English

@AryaTayebi It’s like you’re saying stuff that sounds “good”, but doesn’t hold up to scrutiny
English

Agree some fans can have very rigid expectations, but the issue with T8 was the direction of the change. Aggression for its own sake, abandoning what made the series interesting, unique.
Nobody wants Tekken frozen in time, they want it to evolve thoughtfully.
ClownSlayer@KoyaKunhali
@AryaTayebi Tekken fans hate change. Guess, they'll be contend with Tekken 5.29272927927..... for all eternity.
English

@ThatsGami @DENGOJIN Now this I can agree with hahaha. I definitely will say though that the fundies and chess playing is still there. We are still keeping it alive man!!
English

@_meyhemmm @jinkazunori23 @DENGOJIN There is Tekken underground for everything up to Tekken tag. Other than that, you’re probably right (up until Tekken 7)… I mean, you could use the emulators and play that way (though I’m not sure what netcode was like for 6/TT2)
English

@choydev @jinkazunori23 @DENGOJIN None of those older titles are readily available with modern netcode.
English

@aso9nglobob @ThatsGami @DENGOJIN Because the solution to terrible defense is not to have alright offense removed from the game
English

@choydev @ThatsGami @DENGOJIN How is it a him problem and not a common situation within the game that he simply doesnt enjoy the commonality of
English

@Danny_W_Dowling @AaronAardvarkTK @DENGOJIN Aggressive playstyles. I think they will cater to options that make the game more “fair”. The last few patches have been a heavy indication of that.
English

@choydev @AaronAardvarkTK @DENGOJIN What do you think will be removed from the game? They aren't doing away with RA or HB
English

@jinkazunori23 @DENGOJIN Then go play those. They are still available. Turning the new games into that defeats the whole purpose of making a new game. Just play the old ones, if that’s what you want. I don’t want Tekken 6 part 2, I want Tekken 8.
English

@AaronAardvarkTK @DENGOJIN It already was from the beginning. Removing everything that makes the game new is a dumb idea
English

@ThatsGami @DENGOJIN Sarcasm is necessary to convey my dismay. If you’re stuck in block pressure, that’s a you problem and not a Tekken 8 problem.
To your second point: older Tekken is fun, but turning a new release into an old game is a terrible idea (especially when the newer release is better)
English

I hope that in a future balance patch, Tailspin will be changed so that every character can only use it once per combo.
It’s one of the main reasons combos have become so long, and I think it creates imbalance because some characters can only use it once, some can only use it again after using Heat Burst, while others can use it twice even without Heat Burst.
Hopefully it happens someday…

Huge win for gamers and consumer rights!
The California State Assembly just passed AB 1921, the Protect Our Games Act.
It passed on the floor by a vote of 43 to 16.
The bill would force video game companies to give players a heads-up before they shut down the servers for a game.
It would also make them provide a way for people to keep playing afterward, like adding offline mode or letting community servers take over.
Quick recap of what the bill does:
>60-day advance notice before any server shutdown or major service change that would make a game unplayable in its “ordinary use.”
>Companies must then provide a workable solution so players can keep playing, usually an offline mode/patch, community server support, or (in some cases) a full refund.
>Applies to digital games first sold or substantially re-released in California after January 1, 2027.
>Does not affect subscription games, free-to-play titles, or games that are already permanently offline/single-player.
>Enforceable by the Attorney General or district attorneys.
In short: If you buy a game, you should still be able to play it even after the company moves on.
No more “purchase” turning into a rental that expires when the servers die.

@choydev @izutsulyn The fgc doesnt ruin in it for casual players because FGs are inherently anti casual even when they are created to be as casual as possible.
