Scenes at the end as our U18s came from behind at top of table Alton on Monday night. The young #Knappers inexplicably found themselves 4-1 down in a match they felt they had been on top of, but found a way to take a well deserved point with 88th and 92nd minute finishes.
@trixandTj@FCFleetTown It certainly is a thankless task, I think only other chair persons appreciate this, and I can say from the outside you’ve done a great job, and can certainly be proud of your efforts
It has certainly been a journey, and one I hope people can see the difference we have made.
However, when things no-longer align, changes need to be made.
So it is time for me to step down as Chair @FCFleetTown, at the end of the season.
I fell into this role when no one else wanted it for the 20-21 season. We had already made some in-roads of bringing this club back to where it belongs. But there was still lots to do. Being a newbie there would always be those bumps, and curve balls to keep you on your toes.
We’ve been a bit rubbish at putting out updates on ‘X’ recently, but great to see our highest attendance of the season for tonight’s @ACYFL_Official fixture vs @guildfordcityfc U18s. #KnappersYouth
A very wet evening at Redding Way tonight, tough for both teams but a warming feeling brought on by winning 8-1 including two lobs of the goalkeeper ! @KnaphillFC#strongertogether
⚽ Man of the Match: Aidan King
Calm on the ball, constantly linking play, and setting the tempo in midfield during a tight contest at Redding Way.
