My Dad is 81 & has been trying to see the doctor for weeks about chronic chest pains He can't ever get in so my Mum finally took him to A&E He waited for 11 (ELEVEN) hours to be seen & they told him he's got serious issues with his kidneys They didn't give him any prescriptions, guidance or advice. They just referred him to a ‘kidney specialist’ He has to wait until next week to see if he can even get in The NHS is completely broken and this is a disgrace My Dad has paid taxes here for nearly 65 years and he can't even get seen by a doctor What now defines an emergency for you to be seen by A&E? Why are we paying nearly £200 billion for exactly?

Couldn’t get a GP appointment. So my Mum took him to A&E.
He sat there for 11 hours before being told he has serious kidney problems.
No prescription.
No advice.
Just a referral to a “specialist” who might see him next week.
After paying into the system for almost 65 years, this is how he’s treated.
The NHS is falling apart.
£200 billion a year… & you can’t even see a doctor when you’re in pain.
What does it actually take to be seen as an emergency now?
