i feel like ai chat apps should have a "branching" feature, like github branches but for llm context engineering sometimes i want to take conversations multiple ways from a given point, but right now you don't really get that option just me or anyone else feeling this?

are there evals or research out there about how diff models perform with visuals? i.e. which are better or worse at understanding images
