@JonahDispatch When I was a young in the late '70's, I'd spend part of the summer in Pittsburgh with my BFF at her grandparents. Klondike bars were a regional specialty treat, then, available at the corner store. That predates the slogan to which you reference, but I love them still.

@ckhorowitz @BoCamaro In all the years I've ran thyroid groups, not one, has had TED from Hashi's. If they carry Grave's and Hashi's antibodies, that's a different story.

So I had vloodwork done before I left to come to Atlanta. Been dealing with some health stuff for awhile, but my eyes have been a real worry. My vision is changing rapidly and I was told last year that if we don't get this inflammation under control that it could get really bad. Well, I got a call yesterday that we may have finally found the reason. Seems my thyroid is barely working. Kot only does this explain the extreme fatigue, but more importantly, it explains the hell my eyes are going through. I'm starting a medicine this morning to hopefully replace that hormone. The Doc said I sold start feeling better and my eyes should be much improved in the next couple of weeks to a month... I sure hope so. Any of you have issues with your thyroid? Did the meds help?

Helping organize a fundraising raffle for our 12u baseball team trip to a Cooperstown tournament this summer. Getting some pushback on how to do it so we comply with raffle laws in Texas. I’ve done this for events. I do not understand being whatevs when it concerns $4-10k!

Just curious how many of "you people" remember living with Blue Laws on most store goods. If you have to look that up you probably didn't. West Virginia still had them when I left home in 1975 and Virginia didn't get rid of them until the early 80s if I remember right.

@BoCamaro @artsit4me Did your PC refer you to an endocrinologist, as well? If not, I would ask if you weren't given a specific diagnosis of what is causing you to be hypothyroid. Mean time, stay hydrated and use unpreserved eye-drops that come in individual tubes to keep your eyes moist.

@ckhorowitz @artsit4me They haven't yet, but now we can start the discussions with my eye doctor. This all came up from my regular blood work because I had a lump in my neck that I asked my doctor to check to see if I needed a biopsy. So he ordered a thyroid blood panel.

@artsit4me @BoCamaro Yes, I was diagnosed with Graves' in 1993, and I have had 9 surgeries and radiation due to TED. It can also be seen in some people with Hashimoto's which is why I asked.

@ckhorowitz @BoCamaro TED is associated with Graves Disease (auto-immune) which causes hyperthyroidism.
