As soon as the news that Mitzi Dean would not be seeking re-election broke, my phone lit up with DMs, calls, and text messages from people throughout the riding and beyond. People want a credible local center-right contender to step up and represent a constituency that for far too long had been ignored. I want to clear the air: I believe I am that candidate and I am interested in running for the @Conservative_BC in Esquimalt-Colwood. I have been speaking with representatives from the party and reaching out to contacts to see what support I have. Needless to say, the response has been emphatic. I understand a candidate has been chosen, and whoever this candidate is, I will do my utmost to bring my years of experience forward to help change the colour of this riding and the province blue.
