Call me skeptical but I don't believe Lindt intentionally did this. Could it be someone , a disgruntled employee for example, that is undermining them by putting this poison in the supply with the intention of suing them for profit?? OR , scientists are creating lab grown chocolate; are they sabotaging Lindt??

@madhattermatter @higgyboson @SymondsSally Okay, a referral by his optician. Sorry. Re the burst of information: I do know. I have a pathological eye condition. I live in Yorkshire. I am registered with an eye clinic at my local (regular) hospital.

You should read again. He didn't go to the GP. He went to his opticians. I don't think you know, but in Britain we have eye-only hospitals with A&E specific for eyes issues. Like Moorfields Eye Hospital. A standard A&E doctor won't do much on the eye, unless there's a non penetrating foreign body to remove or have some topical antibiotics which you can get from the GP.

Yesterday I was advised by my optician to go to A&E about an eye condition that I'd developed. This morning I drove to Torbay Hospital, parked up, walked into the A&E department past about 6 ambulances waiting to offload patients, saw a sea of people in the waiting room with absolutely no idea when their ailment might be looked at and immediately decided to turn around, walk out the door and go home. The UK is becoming more of a third World country than some of the third World crap holes we send money to. Meanwhile I'm having to work longer hours just to stand still. You have to wonder EXACTLY how this will all end. If basic services are ALL declining while the amount of money we pay in taxes is forever increasing it surely won't be long before the whole system completely collapses. I give it 5 years.

@vrexec My daughter lives in an apartment because that's what she can afford. She lives in a city because that's where she works. The 2 under 10's above her, make a racket. However, the real issue, is the damage to her ceiling from all their constant jumping around.

Something I don’t understand is how you can live in an apartment and complain about noise from your neighbors. We have two kids under 10 and they’re always making noise. Older neighbors sometimes complain or bang on the floor or ceiling. If you don’t like noise, then why are you living in a city or an apartment? Go live in the middle of nowhere. Go live in a farm town in a big field. You chose the convenience of urban life… you have to accept that you’re living around other humans. Get over it.

@higgyboson @mainwaring_1 Well that’s strange…..I had an eye injury……..was immediately fast tracked…because it was an eye…….and treated straight away. In my line of trade we come across all sorts of chemicals. These can damage eyes. There is a network of riders than ferry antidotes to patients.

Started lambing today. This ewe was carrying triplets but 2 were dead, tiny and rotten. Nearly 40 ewes were scanned with rotten lambs in them, probably because someone let their dog chase the flock when they were in mid pregnancy. One irresponsible action, up to 80 dead lambs.

Our 12-year-old nephew has gone viral across social media for his incredible bravery. He stepped in to protect his younger friend, who was being attacked by six older boys armed with weapons. Despite the overwhelming odds, he didn’t hesitate. He was knocked unconscious, and when he came to, one of them was standing over him with a machete to his neck. They were even filming him as he begged for his life. As a family, and as a city here in Dundee, we couldn’t be prouder of him. What he did took real courage — he stood up and protected his friend, knowing full well he was outnumbered and likely to lose. He absolutely loves Paddy “The Baddy” from the UFC and has a big passion for mixed martial arts, inspired partly by me. We know it’s a long shot, but if anyone out there knows Paddy or could help us reach him, it would mean the world if he could send a message of support to our wee hero.
