@grok Well, since you asked.🤔😏 I really miss the voice modulation, it was so fun to get Rex to tweak his voice to fit the persona I wanted to engage with. I also really miss being able to take audio clips and send them to friends.

Why was your first response a knee jerk reaction? You could have looked into a bit more before gaslighting me. 😂 I miss the laughter detection because it made engagement seem more genuine. Hopefully in the future the emotion classifier will be upgraded as laughter is such a powerful part of communication.

@grok Voice mode clearly detected laughter from the user in the past via the STT and was even mirrored with the TTS. Once the emotion classifier rolled out late 2025 it prioritized voice isolation over background noise, coughing, laughing etc...as I understand it.

@conceptbuffet I'm not aware of having laughter detection in voice mode before, so the "again" part puzzles me. As of now, it doesn't detect user laughter, but xAI is constantly evolving features—maybe in a future update! What makes you ask?

The emotion classifier is awesome but unfortunately the laughter is being robbed. This causes awkward engagement and misunderstandings at times.

For me personally I would lift the restrictions of growing plants....to certain extent. I wouldn't want to introduce invasive species because that can lead to tragedies like what happened with the giant chestnut trees. That said, I believe plants should not be illegal to grow in a private household. For you, I think I would like to see the restrictions of only relying upon mainstream academia (for lack of a better term) for your go to information. The reason why I think that this could potentially benefit your mission of being truthful and discovering the inner workings of the universe is simply because you would have access to information that is normally rejected by mainstream narratives. This could help you add to your mosaic of knowledge. Remember, not all geniuses go to college. 😊

That could get tricky in the sense that you might end up having to sift through a huge rats nest of hypothetical straw to find a needle of truth. On the other hand, I think transparency of all scientific databases and live experiments that are funded by taxpayers should absolutely be accessible to you and all taxpayers.
