🚨 CRITICAL: Active supply chain attack on axios -- one of npm's most depended-on packages. The latest axios@1.14.1 now pulls in plain-crypto-js@4.2.1, a package that did not exist before today. This is a live compromise. This is textbook supply chain installer malware. axios has 100M+ weekly downloads. Every npm install pulling the latest version is potentially compromised right now. Socket AI analysis confirms this is malware. plain-crypto-js is an obfuscated dropper/loader that: • Deobfuscates embedded payloads and operational strings at runtime • Dynamically loads fs, os, and execSync to evade static analysis • Executes decoded shell commands • Stages and copies payload files into OS temp and Windows ProgramData directories • Deletes and renames artifacts post-execution to destroy forensic evidence If you use axios, pin your version immediately and audit your lockfiles. Do not upgrade.

Using the physical properties of water as the basis of the scale is arbitrary. Similarly using the average wether range is arbitrary.
The only temperature measurements that actually make sense in any way are Kelvin and Ranking.
0K = 0R = the lowest temperature that is physically possible in the universe.

Not a single country using Celsius has ever gone back to Fahrenheit! A lot of Fahrenheit countries did switch over to celsius though, I wonder what this tells us

the fact that most of the world uses celsius is so fucking stupid. it’s objectively terrible ux for humans. zero meaning “water does a thing” is not how anyone experiences temperature. weather is a consumer interface. celsius is an implementation detail that’s actually in prod.

In the era of personal software, Tailscale is essential. I got everything connected to my tailscale network, Nas, MacMini, MBP, Phone. Being able to access anything from anywhere without exposing it to the web like I was doing with cloudflare tunnels has been fantastic. Also have a mulvad vpn integration for my exit too. So easy.
