@23wjohnston @ThoughtfulSaint The premortal realm was a place of learning, sociality and progression among the spirits in preparation for earthlife. The object was to become already servants of God there, in preparation to do the same here and the hereafter.

@23wjohnston @ThoughtfulSaint The premortal existence is a key component of LDS theology. We understand that all the heavenly host were already created there in spirit form. Christ was the Firstborn in the spirit. Everyone followed after that, included Lucifer and those spirits that followed him.2/2

@23wjohnston @ThoughtfulSaint How is your belief system doing with baptism and salvation for the dead, obviously taught and observed by the Apostolic Church...kind of important for the salvation opportunity for all mankind. Or the 3 degrees of heaven, also visited by Paul?

@23wjohnston @ThoughtfulSaint You know the answer to your question. Certainly not all we believe can be found or clearly articulated in the Bible. But you have the same problem, including Bible scriptures you dont honor. And it is not your prerogative to dictate rules of engagement.

@crusade67 @ThoughtfulSaint Question: when did Jesus Christ teach that Satan was his brother? When did Jesus Christ teach that God the Father was once a man like us, who dwelt on an earth near the star Kolob?

@mqulis @ThoughtfulSaint We also agree that he is unchanging except for his increase in glory as his children become like him and create and populate their own worlds without end. This is his objective and purpose. This is the power in the Melchizedek priesthood which is His priesthood.

The way this is supposed to work is that you read the Nicene creed, copy a line from it, quote it, and then respond with whatever argument you have explaining why it's wrong. The biblical data states that: a) there is one God, or in other words, there is only one being with the characteristics that belong to God (independence, eternality, perfection, omnipotence, and omnibenevolence, etc) Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 Corinthians 8:4 a.1) God is eternal. Deuteronomy 33:27 a.2) God is unchanging. Malachi 3:6; Numbers 23:19 a.3) God is unique/incomparable. 2 Samuel 7:22 a.4) God is all-powerful/omnipotent. Revelation 19:6 a.5) God is omnipresent. Psalm 139:7-13 a.6) God is holy. Isaiah 6:3 b) The Father is God, John 6:27; Romans 1:7 c) The Son of God is God. John 1:1-18 ; Colossians 2:9; Hebrews 1:8; 1 John 5:20 d) The Holy Spirit is God. 1 Corinthians 3:16; Acts 5:3 e) The three persons mentioned in b) c) and d) are the God of Deutoronomy 6:4 f) The three persons mentioned in b) c) and d) are distinct from one another. Matthew 3:16-17; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Genesis 1:1,26; Gen 3:22; Gen 11:7

@mqulis @ThoughtfulSaint We agree that the 3 members of the Godhead are distinct from one another. They are one in doctrine, purpose, etc. We agree that God is all powerful and all knowing. Bc he dwells in eternity, rather than under the constraints of time, knows the end from the beginning.

@23wjohnston @ThoughtfulSaint Yes, of course. But how many people under sectarian doctrine can even hear the gospel, let alone accept it? And what about little children who die in infantcy? I believe everything Christ said. But you don't. You have no provision but hellfire for the people I'm describing.

Where did you get the “90% of humanity for hellfire” John 3:17 (in context with John 3:16): “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” • John 12:47 If any one hears my sayings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. 48 He who rejects me and does not receive my sayings has a judge; the word that I have spoken will be his judge on the last day.

@Latterdaytruth There's a world famous child psychologist, Alice Miller, who blames most of the criminality in the world on the Christian doctrine of original sin. There is nothing in the Bible teaching baptism for children. It is for those accountable. The BofM says it is an abomination.

@Latterdaytruth She wanted to talk. Said she did not agree with the attack mode of her pastor and set an appointment with me. We met again on campus, initially dumfounded by our doctrine was later baptized. Also there was my roommate who also joined and went on a mission. 4/4

@Latterdaytruth I explained the setting had nothing to do with baptism. The disciples were restraining parents from bringing their children to the Savior for him to bless them saying, "Suffer little children to come unto me FOR SUCH IS THE KINGDOM OF GOD", implying no need for baptism. 2/2

There’s another thing I’ve written and spoken about that Dr Fauci didn’t tell the truth about but nobody else flagged. As he was going on comedy shows and testifying to Congress early on that Covid was “ten times deadlier than flu,” he actually co-published a scientific paper stating the opposite: Covid was about like a bad flu season. At the time, I called his office for an interview — and although he was never shy, he wouldn’t agree to an interview with me. I then asked his office to explain which of his statements was correct. One or the other had to be false, by definition. Fauci’s office declined to answer.
Larry Sanger@lsanger

Tulsi Gabbard just released four PDFs that, she says, show that Fauci funded the very research that created COVID-19. I fed Claude the four PDFs. 🧵 It uncovered some never-yet-revealed blockbusters. (The following is all Claude—I am just quoting it.) 1. The IC Inspector General Filed a Classified Whistleblower Complaint Alleging Intelligence Contradicted Fauci's Testimony — and the DNI's Office Effectively Buried It. DNI General Counsel Chris Fonzone emailed DNI Avril Haines on August 19, 2021, describing a whistleblower complaint alleging that classified intelligence reporting contradicted Fauci's sworn testimony to Congress that NIH never funded gain-of-function research at WIV. Rather than refer it to the HHS Inspector General for independent investigation, Fonzone recommended referring it to HHS Secretary Becerra — Fauci's own boss — noting that Becerra had told Haines it was "something they've considered" and that Fauci had a "point he's repeated." The draft letter was revised to route the complaint to Becerra instead of the HHS IG. This is a previously classified paper trail showing the Biden-era DNI's office treating a formal whistleblower complaint about potential perjury as essentially a bureaucratic matter to be absorbed by the accused's own department.

(2) Stay in session through weekends and (gasp) long-scheduled recess weeks, making clear that filibustering senators must stand, speak, and otherwise hold the floor—always with the understanding that if they drop the ball, we can “call the question” and pass the bill with the simple majority we already have.

America faces more than a chronic disease epidemic that threatens our physical health. We also face a spiritual malaise that undermines our mental health. Our children are increasingly isolated, fragmented, and anxious, spending more than 8.5 hours a day on screens. This summer, put down the phone and reconnect with nature, family, and community. It's time to Take Back Your Health. Eat Real Food. Get Active. Together, we will Make America Healthy Again.

@surskitmaxxing Heck yeah! I'm all in. Makes a lot more sense than the universe, heaven, Satan, demons, angels, everthing created out of nothing and almost every man, woman and child created for hellfire.

The duality of LDS Twitter *Critic says that Mormons believe they can become gods* 1/2 of LDS Twitter: “Umm actually we just believe we can gain a nature like God’s and be joint heirs with Christ” Other 1/2: “Heck yeah we’ll be gods! We’re acorns, and God’s the tree! Theosis!”
