Disturbing video recorded by 16-year-old Nathaniel Jouett before he carried out a mass shooting at the Clovis-Carver Library, a public library in downtown Clovis, New Mexico. Jouett unleashed 14 rounds from a .380-caliber handgun, indiscriminately striking five individuals. Tragically, two women, Wanda Walters, 61, and Kristina Carter, 48, both library employees, lost their lives in the attack. The other three victims included a 10-year-old child who was among those injured. Upon the arrival of law enforcement, Jouett surrendered without resistance and admitted to having meticulously planned the assault. He revealed that his initial intention was to carry out a shooting at a school before ending his own life. On February 15, 2019, Jouett was sentenced to two life sentences, with the possibility of parole, in addition to 40 years in prison.
