We are completely heartbroken to share that Warrior Princess Jaime sadly passed away on Sunday. Jaime was one of our CSSEF children who had the kindest heart and always asking us if their was another doll with hearing aids like her 💙🌷🌠 Our thoughts are with Mum, Dad & Ty 💙

@londonteacher_ Hi Amy you asked why? Because Scientists weren't whipped with a ruler for using their hands to communicate, because Authors weren't placed in corners of a room forbidden to sign. Because Geography teachers weren't told to sit on their hands. Oppression. Milan Conference is why.

Do you know your times tables? How about in British Sign Language? One primary school teacher found that using BSL whilst teaching her class their times tables helped them learn, as well as teaching them an important skill. @Ruth5News | #5News

No one believes me when I say BSL helps times tables but seriously, I had 3 children in an intervention with me trying to pass their 4x tables tests. They were consistently scoring around 20/40. I showed them how to sign it and two days later they all scored 40/40 in their tests.

@EnableOT @KatielittleJ @DeafMosaic Absolutely agree. The @BDA_Deaf will be launching an early years campaign during Sign Language Week in March. Would love your support to get behind it and end inequalities and bias around BSL for deaf children.

If only we had a national system to fund parents BSL classes, mentors and positivity around deafness like @DeafMosaic then maybe we'd be in a different place. Proactive rather than waiting for the damage to occur?
