I condemn the bomb threat that forced the evacuation and cancellation of this week's Shen Yun performances at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts in Toronto. These acts are completely unacceptable. I am deeply concerned this incident reflects intimidation tactics often associated with Chinese Communist Party sympathizers targeting those whose beliefs or messages they oppose. This is an attack on fundamental freedoms, freedom of expression and freedom of conscience, which must be protected. I was shocked to hear that a bomb threat shut down a performance of Shen Yun this weekend. Yesterday I sat down with some of the organizers to discuss the issue. This traditional Chinese cultural performance faces constant harassment because of their opposition to the CCP. Canada must stand for free artistic expression. The shows must go on!

I was at the Four Seasons today to enjoy Shen Yun. A play celebrating Chinese culture & dance before the Communism. It often gets bomb threats. In Ottawa, Beijing successfully lobbied the venue to cancel Shen Yun. It's an outrage. But @MarkJCarney is cozying up to Communists!

法轮功从创立之初到1999年江泽民迫害法轮功之前在中国都是合法的存在，而且发展的很快，为社会做了很多贡献，与政府关系融洽，中共翻手为云覆手为雨，嫉妒法轮功发扬光大得民心，开始迫害法轮功过这段历史大陆人都不了解，这就是一党专制的弊端随着领导的意志而转移，法律就是摆设，人民无法可依。
