The firearms that you are confiscating from fully vetted and licensed owners are not "weapons of war". The phrase "assault-style" firearms was created by the Trudeau government to further there gun control policies.
There wasn't a single shred of logic in the weapons that were listed for this confiscation program. No professionals including police or military were consulted. It was compiled by Liberal politicians from images that they thought looked scary.
If these weapons were used on a battlefield, the only person who would die is the user of a 5 round, semi-automatic gun.
If you want to actually keep Canadians safe, you would take the money that you will waste on this program and spend it on policing and border security where the illegal weapons used by criminals are smuggled in.
You can also spend the money on fixing the justice system that the @liberal_party government has broken over the last decade. Tougher bail and sentencing policies will actually make a difference, rather than this expensive program that will do nothing but waste money and punish law abiding citizens.
