Most "3D card" effects you see on the web are just a single surface tilting. This one separates the card into 5 independent layers at different Z-depths, so the avatar, text, and background all shift at different rates on hover. That's what makes it feel physical and fun.

Agree 100%- but I also think not a lot of folks realise that "design" goes beyond just "looking good." Functional art. These AI tools can fart out pretty shaders... but actually using the interfaces they produce can feel awful.

everyday I wake up and there's a new thing that's apparently going to take my job. and everyday, I read about it, and test it, and am usually am disappointed by the output. there's a designer tax for a reason, we make the shit LOOK GOOD. for all you designers worried about the future, now is the time to focus on the craft. focus on researching stuff from the past and bring that into the now. dig into type, layout, motion. play with the new tools, but don't rely on them. show up, keep making, keep designing.
