@JJ_McCullough I have never seen these words used interchangeably and teach a lot of Canada’s history and have used some very old materials along the way. You got some sources that back your claim? I’m actually curious about this.

This is the kind of ignorant thing sheltered Canadians say to sound smart. Not only is “premier” a very common synonym for prime minister, until very recently the terms were used interchangeably in Canada itself. Well into the 60s you’d hear about the “Prime Minister of Ontario.”
