@andrewmccalip Okay this is actually pretty smart. Curious to see if this stays alive after the initial novelty dies down. It being opt-in saves it from feeling terrible.

Dear Claude we dont need Fable again, my tokens went from 0 - 100 in 30mins, now what do you expect me to do with my life for the next 4hrs 30min and it hasn't even fixed the bug 🥲

@dabrekelmans You should be able to do this now by changing your system default terminal: #collapsible-914243845565" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">linear.app/docs/assigning…

@linear Is there a way to configure which terminal application this opens? I'd like it to open Alacritty instead of the default MacOS terminal app.

@charlieholtz I let conductor migrate the settings to the new settings.toml, but now it doesn't recognize/run the scripts in the repo anymore. Did I do anything wrong?

@ClaudeDevs @trq212 Now I can continue working.. but I tried to token-optimize for this skill (based on /usage feedback) and ran into this. The skill doesn't need Opus-level intelligence. How can this be done? So far it's been unintuitive.

@ClaudeDevs @trq212 It's due to a skill that specifies `model: sonnet`, which tries to run it with Sonnet 1M instead of the available Sonnet 200k... No way so far I found to force it to use the 200k version? Removed the model from the skill (so it uses opus)

@ClaudeDevs Is this a bug or a new limitation? I just got this error, but I have plenty of daily and weekly usage available on my $200 max plan. Is 1M context window suddenly billed outside of normal usage? Feedback ID: 1f38e2d7-c53a-4711-9723-924fbb7c6f40

@ClaudeDevs I get the same error even if I switch to the non-1M context window model Feedback ID: c2dcbf0b-05b5-4551-bee4-268b993bbf35

@trq212 Can we get the ability to create an effort level keyboard shortcut? It's too slow to type /effort and with keyboard shortcuts you need to go through the model picker first (#model-picker-actions" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">code.claude.com/docs/en/keybin…) I find myself wanting to switch between medium and xhigh a lot

@charlieholtz @ParthJadhav8 In contrast, I think the UI and the application as a whole is great and is getting better by the week. I often wonder why it’s free (meaning I would pay for it). Keep up the good work ❤️

In general I think Conductor has a lot of room for improvement but we put a lot of thought + care into the UI. With real human brains. We try and iterate extremely fast. A few of the things you pointed out are already fixed in our latest release. 1. this is fixed in the new sidebar (settings → experimental). I agree it's confusing. the reason it’s like this is the worktree name and branch name can diverge. 2. I like our loading indicator :) 3. Tab bar needs a loading indicator too if you have multiple tabs. Would be weird if it didn’t have a loading indicator sometimes 4. True we probably don’t need this one 5. This one shows in plain English what the workspace is doing. Working/Ready to merge/PR link etc. > why workspace, these are repositories. True-ish, it’s a list of workspace grouped by repositories. > Both Does same thing One creates a new workspace in the repo, another lets you pick across repos. But agreed it’s a bit unnecessary > why is this down? This should replace the top + icon. I don’t think it should replace it, because the top + icon is a “new workspace” button, not a new repository button. but some users have gotten confused by this so we added a add repository section to the top one button too (update to latest release)

ONG Conductor feels such a vibe coded app. - Almost nothing does what you expect it to do. - Everything feels like, it exists because AI added it - No Afterthought to any design decision ? Just pointed out some mistakes :)

Introducing Manual Mode™ Conductor now has a built-in file editor for when you want to edit files directly (like a caveman). We use it for quick edits, like .env files, json configs, or tailwind classes. Otherwise, ask the AI!

@DanKulkov I’m doing this for production apps, but with Linear and Claude Code. I run Claude Code in multiple git worktrees and they interact with Linear to pick up issues and they open PRs in github. It’s me working on 5 issues at the same time.

@emilkowalski Honestly, I paid the money just to get the skill 🙃. I find myself working full-stack a lot, and I’d like my Claude the best it can be to help me out. And when the AI bubble bursts, I can still go back and follow your course myself 😉

Based on the feedback on the animations.dev skill file, it’s clear that skills are a great fit for educational content. You learn by going through the course, and once you’re done, the skill keeps the lessons with you as you build. Here’s another snippet from it:

@lydiahallie Reading .env when parsing .mpc.json in a project, so we can use env vars for mcp auth tokens without having to pass them in the cli.

@lydiahallie Easy git worktrees with setup script like conductor.build does. This is essential for parallel agents. It’s straightforward to do manually or with conductor, but imagine running /worktree in claude and it would set up a worktree and provision the environment.

Why is dark mode in @tan_stack start so difficult?? I want: - SSR support (cookies) - “system” mode (not just light/dark) - no flicker during client hydration After a day of trying many approaches, I only found one repo that actually solved it. This should be a library by now
