Ahh the new Flutter addition of windowHandle getter for the multiple window feature is super nice I love it so much

So mostly reimplementing things that were available in these pub plugins: -window_manager -flutter_acrylic -macos_window_utils -hid_listener And took some inspirations from github.com/libnativeapi/n…

-modify window frame, alpha, collectionBehavior, shadow, style mask -capture exclusion -hide from switcher/taskbar -trigger drag -window effect -ignore mouse event -order front -activate window -activate app -pointer listener -keyboard listener -promoting window to NSPanel

@shreemanarjun Just make sure to use the latest Flutter commit and do `flutter config --enable-windowing` when creating new project or cloning the multiple window example

@shreemanarjun I think there won't be any guide or tutorial since the APIs are very experimental and can change as new PRs are merged. Can only recommend playing around with github.com/flutter/flutte… + github.com/knopp/window_t…

I’m giving metaball shaders another shot for my Flutter gooey package. I hit two blockers before: older device support and getting the superellipse shape right. I also realized filter-based metaballs weren’t ideal for UI. Blur changes geometry, softens border radius, and alters shape proportions. So I went back to shaders and took them more seriously. Now it runs on Impeller, Vulkan, Metal, and Skia, including older devices. Current results are solid: accurate shapes and 60 FPS on an old Honor 3 running Skia. Still a work in progress, but this feels like the right path. #FlutterDev #Flutter

@MatejKnopp Indeed this seem to be the case for Windows. I've only checked macOS so I assumed the same for Windows. Until the first frame callback feature/fix lands on macOS, I'll keep using window interception. Very nice to know that I won't need to in the near (?) future.

@damy_wise Window handle is avaliable immediately after controller creation, before the window is visible. Window is now properly shown on first frame on win32, other platforms will follow. If you want custom window frame look into github.com/knopp/window_t….

Unfortunately the window handle (understandably and obviously) is not available until the window is shown so I still have to intercept window create/willshow to prevent Flutter frame from flashing before decorating it.

We prototyped a Flutter-specific app size analyzer. If there's interest, it wouldn't be hard to ship.

I should start using @cap to record my app demos so they look pretty. I reeaallly don't like starting a video project even if it's just screen recording or even screenshotting.

One of the most popular Flutter package - GetX's author jonataslaw's GitHub account was suspended without notice. The Telegram group is also locked down. The Discord server was untouched but his account is unresponsive. It's possible his account was hacked.

Yep stopped using stable channel since a few months ago because of the new multiple window feature. Shipped 2 apps with it since and currently making a game using it.
