@SDDonovan Reminds me of how George RR Martin came up with "A Song of Ice and Fire" from that early Bran scene with the summer snows. In fact I think he said that the phrase "summer snows" was the thing he couldn't get out of his head.

So I just saw a post talking about writing advice and one author said to read 1,000 novels in a genre before attempting to write a book in that genre. 😳 I’m 55 and don’t think I’ve read 1,000 books in my lifetime. Is this realistic to most of you? Granted, I know I’m not the voracious reader that many are, but 1,000 seems excessive.

It's choose the cover time again. My 'biography' of Medea, for which I looked at every single ancient source, researched forensic psychology and visited every site to try to come up with a coherent narrative, comes out this year. My editor likes the green one. Please help choose!
