@bum_py I've been frequently using DataGrip for sql queries and they have ai assistance to help write sql tools but it's not very good. So, I definitely need a tool as well. I suppose you need tools that can help you with big data analysis. What tools do you use daily for this?

This ends up as additional properties — essentially a large string from the DB. We can either make a more powerful editor for it on the spot, or parse the strings and keep structured data in our DB model, which would be cleaner but more complex. Please file an issue: youtrack.jetbrains.com/i

LOVE the new @jetbrains database feature where they're dropping the console for queries. Simple change but now I can easily find and delete past queries.

I will be trying out @datagrip this week and let you guys know how that feels. I watched there ads and I feel like it can be an awesome tool for #SQL normal and NO.

At JetBrains, we’re always very attentive to user feedback, and we don’t hesitate to react quickly. Our major change, which replaced query consoles with query files, caused several usability issues that were not easy to resolve, so we decided to revert the change. @ylynfatt @phpstorm There were some overlooked problems, so we'll bring them back for a while. Expect it in the closest minor release.

Starting from the 2025.3 release, @DataGrip and other JetBrains IDEs (like @phpstorm) with database support will stop using the term "query console". blog.jetbrains.com/datagrip/2025/…

@philliphaydon even if the log doesn't contain enough information, it's still evident to diagnose this behavior on our end. To do so, please create a youtrack issue youtrack.jetbrains.com/newIssue by including the idea.log found in Help - Show Log in Files. We'll have a look

@datagrip the 2025.3 release is bar none the worst release you guys have done. The migration to script files, and constant 'rethrown at' errors, so frustrating.

DataGripのバージョンアップしたら大幅変更で訳解んないことになっていて接続怪しかったし、緊急で弄りたいデータがあったのでバージョンダウンした。

@bike2live @intellijidea could you try to add the *.sql pattern for SQL in Settings | Editor | File Types as described in youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/DBE-24910?

@intellijidea This release has broken the db queries. I can't run any queries anymore. The Cmd + Enter (macOS) just adds a new line. It doesn't read the schema, so no more type validation or type ahead assistance. Intellij seems to be getting worse over time.
