The two World Cup semi-finals being played on different days is ridiculous. One finalist will have a full 24-hour advantage to recover and prepare for the final. If England get through, we’ll be the team going in with a day less rest 😬 How is that remotely fair? 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Absolutely wild night of non league football. Crewe refuse to play at Prescot, Wythenshawe batter Altrincham and Croydon can’t afford the leccy bill.

Genuine question based on what Sam Matterface just said Said this is the biggest game of Yamal’s life What is a bigger game - World Cup Semi Finals or Euros Final?

Starting today [13 July], service changes and replacement bus services will be in place across the network until Sunday 2 August. No trams will operate on the Altrincham, Eccles and Trafford Park lines. Keep up to date with the latest travel advice on our dedicated webpage: tfgm.com/tram-improveme…

@BeeNetwork @red___square I suggest u get tracking on the replacement buses. I also suggest u stick to as close to frequency as possible. You’ve had nothing but complaints all day and night in two days. So I suggest u change something and sort it

@BeeNetwork But you stated tram frequency. This is nowhere close. We got duped paying for a monthly ticket with no warnings on the app about these works. Now we have to deal with a rubbish more expensive bus service.

@red___square Hi there, unfortunately, we don't have live tracking available on the replacement buses, so we're unable to give an eta at this time. With regards to the wait for a bus service, I've logged this with the team. We're really sorry for the wait tonight.

@BeeNetwork @BeeNetwork People waited an hour for the Eccles bus today at the St Peters replacement stop. Can we just push up the chain that metrolink monthly tickets can be used on other services? Would reduce issues massively.

@BeeNetwork It is absurd that we cannot use normal busses. You clearly have under prepared and do not have enough fleet to cope.

Hi there Rosie, thank you for getting in touch. I am sorry to hear about your experience on board one of our services. Many train tickets are flexible, allowing customers greater choice. This does mean, however, that some services can become unexpectedly busy. We do all we can to ensure the busiest known services have a greater capacity and we use all available carriages where possible. If you are unable to stand for extended periods, please do feel free to make use of our priority seating. These can be found at the end of each carriage. I am sorry you feel the price of this ticket is too high as well. These fares are regulated by the government and a number of different factors are considered when setting them such as track access charges. We offer advance singles which are cheaper if the more flexible ticket price is too high. I will record your feedback on this. To raise a formal complaint for investigation, please fill in our complaints form at railhelp.co.uk/gwr/make-a-com…. The customer support team will be in touch as soon as they can - Rose

£101.09. 1 Hour. No Seat. 8 Months Pregnant £101.09 for a 1 hour 3 minute journey into London Paddington with @GWRHelp. Only 4/5 carriages available during peak time, leaving passengers crammed in like sardines. I’m 8 months pregnant and spent the journey standing alongside dozens of other commuters because there simply weren’t enough seats. To make matters worse, I was standing directly in front of a British Transport Police officer who never once looked up to notice I was heavily pregnant or offer any assistance. Where is the care? How can Great Western Railway possibly justify charging £101.09 for a service where passengers are forced to stand for over an hour, despite paying some of the highest rail fares in Europe? This isn’t a one-off either. Around 50% of my journeys are disrupted by overcrowding, signal failures, trains being cancelled because staff don’t turn up, or broken trains. Passengers are paying premium prices for a service that is consistently failing them. We deserve better. @GWRHelp @nationalrailenq – how do you justify this level of service for these fares? #GWR #RailFail #PassengerRights #Pregnancy #LondonPaddington #commuterlife

This is absolutely outrageous. It looks like Lib Dem led Portsmouth City Council are removing England flags from people who are putting them up for the World Cup. If that's not bad enough, they just walk off with it. That's theft! Absolute disgrace!

@danwootton For god’s sake - leave it to the police to investigate and go through the required process. They have more evidence and information to hand than we ever will. There are protocols they need to abide by and follow lines of enquiry as new information becomes available to them.

I have stayed silent about this all weekend, but can't any longer. Ann Widdecombe was clearly assassinated in a pre-meditated terror attack. The police got this very wrong. I have two shocking pieces of evidence that I will outline on Outspoken at 5pm. She deserves better.

Shocking news that Counter Terrorism Police are investigating a credible, serious threat targeted at an Islamic event in Suffolk. Thanks to the quick action taken by police and the organisers, nobody was hurt. My message is clear: I will not tolerate any attacks on our Muslim communities, or any form of anti-Muslim hatred.
