Johann Strauss (composer of The Blue Danube) is my great great great uncle. A portrait of him was stolen from my grandmother’s family by the Nazis. Decades later my grandmother got it back. Now it hangs proudly in my home and sometimes I play one of his waltzes and look up at him

I’m a huge fan of this guy’s work. His score to Coppola’s #Dracula would probably make my top 10 favourite film scores and I rarely go long without listening to it. Terrifying, romantic and stunningly orchestrated. I strongly advise you to give it a listen 🧛🏼♂️
