This couple was shooting a documentary in the Appalachian mountains alone at night. They were busy discussing a scene when they heard a whistle very clearly and away. They know they were supposed to ignore it so they didn’t skip a beat and they kept discussing their plans when they heard another whistle, this time closer and on the opposite side of them. They decide it’s too cold out and leave. They never acknowledge the whistle at all. Would you have stuck around and try to find out what caused the noise?

🛏️ A woman leaves five dollars on the dresser in her hotel room and has kept the Do Not Disturb sign on the door all week. When she returns, the sign has been removed, the cash is gone, and housekeeping has left a note that says “Thank you for the tip.” It’s pretty common to leave a tip for housekeeping, so they may have assumed the five dollars was for them. But the fact that the Do Not Disturb sign had been up all week and was just taken down has me scratching my head. Would you be upset if this happened to you, or do you think the cleaning staff was justified? I’m a little torn on this one.

So. Had my first appt with the oncologist yesterday. Stage 4 metastatic cancer, incurable, average life expectancy 2-3 years. Not the news I wanted. Their hope is to do chemo before any surgery to try and shrink the tumor and best case scenario, manage this as a chronic condition. I’m crushed and sick to my stomach at the thought of leaving Jake. He would be heartbroken without me here.

I have a friend who’s never been hungover in his life but drinks like a 22-year-old on spring break basically every weekend. He Ran the United Half after 14 drinks the night before 8:30 mile pace so he’s not a fat piece of shit Has put up 20+ drinks in a night and wakes up like nothing happened.
