Addendum: I’m convinced that we have possibly the best Sunday School teacher in all of the church. His lessons are amazing… but it takes time to develop it.

Just go back to 3 hour church or shorten sacrament meeting if you want to meet each class/quorum each week… 25 minutes isn’t enough to have a real meaningful lesson in either class.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints@Ch_JesusChrist

In advance of the upcoming general conference leadership session (April 2, 2026), The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced upcoming adjustments to the Sunday class meeting schedule to support members in their efforts to be lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ. The adjustments will strengthen gospel learning in homes and congregations throughout the world. Beginning September 6, 2026, the alternating weekly schedule for Sunday School and quorum or class meetings will be replaced. Under the updated schedule: • Sunday School, Relief Society, elders quorum, Young Women and Aaronic Priesthood quorum meetings will be held each week. • Sacrament meeting will continue to be 60 minutes, followed by brief transition periods. • Sunday School and quorum and class meetings will each be 25 minutes. • Primary will continue every Sunday and will be 55 minutes, held while adults and youth attend their respective classes. • Where local circumstances necessitate, units may begin with Primary and quorum and class meetings and conclude with sacrament meeting. So attempts to paint it as a dystopian crap hole just really don’t seem to take into account much of what actually makes up SLC and Utah. It’s disingenuous at best. Are there issues? Sure. But they aren’t overwhelming anything IMO. And the factors I mentioned keep it that way.

Trying to understand the… strange… responses to this tweet. I’m pretty sure the far right folks are attempting to paint SLC proper as a liberal stronghold that’s “descending into chaos” as a way of “rallying the troops” to “take it back.” So I’ve been thinking about it…

Downtown Salt Lake is amazing. It’s clean. It’s organized. There are things to do and events happening. Transit and parking options are good. Anybody saying that is in decline is either lying, has unrealistic standards, and/or hasn’t spent much time in other US urban centers.

You never see this BTW (Radeon beating GeForce). The closer the item is ranked to the top spot, the more it has sold. First spot could outsell second spot by a factor of two times for example (that GPU stand is a hot item). The fact that the best selling 5070 Ti model is in 12th position says it all. People are not buying the 5070 Ti. So when local retailers tell us they are selling 80%+ more 9070 XT's when compared to 5070 Ti's, they aren't lying.

No, that is not at all what we're trying to do and I have no idea why you would suggest or even think that. It's extremely frustrating to read, because not only have you misinterpreted the information, you're actively shooting yourself in the foot. What this information shows you is that Nvidia has effectively killed off the RTX 5070 Ti, at $1000+ US for most models, it’s a dead product. Moreover, it's not priced this high because of demand, which is what Nvidia would lead you to believe. The high price point is a direct result of Nvidia drastically cutting back production to concentrate on products with higher profit margins. Naturally, they want to conceal the fact that catering to the gaming community is not their priority. The information shown above is from Amazon, but we also said in that post we’ve talked with local retailers who say right now and for the past few months they have been selling almost twice as many 9070 XT’s as they have been 5070 Ti’s and the Mindfactory data shows they’re moving 150% more 9070 XT’s. Now that said, we’ve also been told sales are terrible right now and the industry is dead, which really does speak to our greater point, almost no one is buying the 5070 Ti, this is not a demand issue. The 9070 XT might be selling significantly better, but we’re not talking about high volume sales here.
