1. I’ve never once claimed Reed was perfect or wouldn’t have bad games. Let’s seriously please not invoke this strawman. Every 21 year old has very bad games. 2. If it’s a lost season, per the GM: 2a. I’d rather have Reed playing heavy minutes and growing from the reps through his mistakes like every other #3 pick gets the chance to do. 2b. Alpi and Reed are 2 of your 3 top young prospects. If they truly aren’t viable together defensively, I’d rather be sure I have tons of data on that (while giving them sufficient time to overcome) rather than rushing to make a Giannis trade (or similar) from a premature conclusion. That’s all I’ll say on this. I accept that Reed will likely be back on the bench come Wednesday.

The original vision was Amen and Jalen, but you can easily see how Amen and Reed have the potential to become the best backcourt in the league some day. Their skillsets complement each other beautifully when they’re playing together. It was on full display last night.
