@FootballGuy_Al genuine quesiton - why do you think there'd be a visit vs. outright signing? what is a team (or player?) trying to learn on a visit like this?

@dbfeld I want to eat at least 40-50g of protein in the morning. Helps hit my targets and it's more satiating.

This is the best breakfast for weight loss. It's 250g low-fat Greek yogurt, one scoop of whey protein, 100g frozen fruit, and a teaspoon of psyllium husk. I call it Glop, and here's why each ingredient matters:

@robpizzola @malcolmpallen what i dont understand is that the ball begins to wobble as kupp makes contact with the ground and then the ball leaves his hands. why is that not a fumble?

The difference is the ball never stays secured through the ground on Cooks. On the back angle you can see it hit his body, then immediately pop up as he lands. Freeze-framing the one instant where it’s pinned on his chest doesn’t change that. If the ball is coming loose as you’re contacting the ground, you haven’t completed the catch. That’s exactly why the “survive the ground” language exists. Kupp is different because he’s clearly doing an act common to the game before he goes down. He has control, multiple steps, turns upfield and extends for the line. At that point he’s a runner, so the ball coming out on the way down is a fumble. On the “just make it simpler, what looks like a catch is a catch” idea, I get the appeal, but you can’t write or enforce that. Different camera angles make different things “look” like a catch. The whole point of the rule is to create something objective enough to apply consistently, even if it’s imperfect. I’m with you that the catch rule has been a mess historically, but this is still a lot clearer than the old days.

Not the same play, at all, and it’s driving me nuts that people keep lumping these together. A catch has a pretty clear framework. It's not like there are 100 rules in the rulebook.... there are 3 items around a completed or intercepted pass with a few additional notes. If you’re going to complain like the league is making things up, take 3 minutes and learn what you’re watching first. Kupp clearly has possession, gets multiple steps, turns upfield and dives for the line. He’s a runner at that point. Cooks is still in the process of completing the catch to the ground, never really establishes it cleanly through contact, and it pops up for the INT. How is this still a thing?
John@iam_johnw

How is this down by contact on kupp but Brandin cooks was a no catch vs the broncos last week lmao

Of coordinator jobs that Mike McDaniel has interviewed for, the Lions gig was the least likely to materialize. Campbell liked McDaniel a lot, but Lions didn’t view it as quite the right fit for them. As for other OC vacancies? Mike is very much in play. Ball is in his court.
