@DanielDerGOAT @IanCopeland5 @GuntherEagleman Same with literally every medication dude. Aspirin, Tylenol, ibuprofen you can hurt yourself or even kill yourself with all of it. Regularly drinking energy drinks is more harmful to your health than regularly taking ivermectin.

@IanCopeland5 @GuntherEagleman I shouldn’t have to prove why something should be available in a free society. You should have to prove a sufficient reason why it should not. It’s safer than Tylenol and can be bought virtually anywhere for livestock already.

I do not think people outside politics fully understand how insane what Virginia Democrats did actually was. They redrew the map so that five congressional districts effectively originate in Fairfax, which is packed with left wing government workers, and then stretch outward across the state like tentacles.

Sean Davis@seanmdav

Hard to overstate how much Virginia’s insanity, led by Democrat Louise Lucas, pushed multiple red states to redistrict. The Callais decision from SCOTUS was obviously important, but by itself it wouldn’t have led to TN or AL redistricting. The insanely corrupt Democrat overreach in Virginia is what tipped the scales for a lot of red state Republican legislators who were on the fence.

Even if the White House released a public statement tomorrow saying aliens exist and they have proof, it would not challenge the Christian faith at all. Two possibilities. 1 - They are demons in disguise. 2 - They were also created by God. I lean towards the second one because I think it makes sense that God created an entire universe and then he would populate it. Why so much space and celestial bodies just to populate a single planet? What do you think?

Criticism of Lincoln's Gettysburg Address Chicago Times: "The cheeks of every American must tingle with shame as he reads the silly, flat, and dishwatery utterances." Harrisburg Patriot and Union: "We pass over the silly remarks of the President; for the credit of the Nation we are willing that the veil of oblivion shall be dropped over them and that they shall no more be repeated or thought of." Cincinnati Enquirer: "a perversion of history so flagrant that the most brazen of partisans must blush." Times of London: "The ceremony was rendered ludicrous by some of the sallies of that poor President Lincoln." H. L. Mencken (1922): "But let us not forget that it is oratory, not logic; beauty, not sense. Think of the argument in it! Put it into the cold words of everyday! The doctrine is simply this: that the Union soldiers who died at Gettysburg sacrificed their lives to the cause of self-determination — “that government of the people, by the people, for the people,” should not perish from the earth. It is difficult to imagine anything more untrue. The Union soldiers in that battle actually fought against self-determination; it was the Confederates who fought for the right of their people to govern themselves. What was the practical effect of the battle of Gettysburg? What else than the destruction of the old sovereignty of the States, i. e., of the people of the States? The Confederates went into battle an absolutely free people; they came out with their freedom subject to the supervision and vote of the rest of the country—and for nearly twenty years that vote was so effective that they enjoyed scarcely any freedom at all. Am I the first American to note the fundamental nonsensicality of the Gettysburg address? If so, I plead my aesthetic joy in it in amelioration of the sacrilege."

@latinedisce 💯 if you have reasonable intelligence, read the sources yourself and draw your own conclusions. Don’t read someone else conclusions as fact. Read them for what they are, their own opinions.

James K. Polk took office in 1845 with four goals: Rebuild the Treasury. Settle Oregon. Take California. Cut tariffs. He did it all in one term, added a million square miles, and stretched the country to the Pacific. Then he went home. Didn't need to run again.
