@campervanliving Yes to solar panels, but more importantly for new developments (harder to add on later) is proper energy performance standards. If they aren’t building to #Passivhaus standard then you should ask why. Counterintuitively rain water harvesting is usually higher CO2 than mains.

As a local councillor I sit on the planning committee. It's the time where I get to say: "Where are the solar panels?" "Where are the solar panels?" "Where are the solar panels?" "Where are the solar panels?" I beggars belief that we don't put them on ALL new buildings.
