@AikadoLoR I mean in theory I agree but deciding who gets skins based on playrate/winrate is pretty fucking close to Snap style monetization (and something that I'm pretty sure you've denounced in the past)

The fact that Jax, Ornn, Rek, Viktor, Annie, Udyr, Poro King and Norra have 0 skins really tells ya something about lor monetization I think. They're all either some of the most played champs of the last year or are some of the biggest fan favorites

@spider_mansion I think the answer you're probably missing along with those responses is that people want to play LoR. People playing path don't want to play slay the spire or monster train or whatever, they want to be able to play league champions with simultaneous turns and spell mana.

Really torn on the answers I’m seeing. They all make sense but they don’t answer the key question of why Path specifically. Every answer I see is “this is why I’d play a rougelite deckbuilder” and I agree! But Path misses on all fronts to me, which may just be my personal tastes

I need to be honest, and I don’t mean this in a mean or dismissive way: I don’t get what people like about Path of Champions? LoR design isn’t really conducive to the rougelike and the power spike feels wildly out of balance

@TrinathanPlays @dan_estreicher He's literally replying to posts by individual Rioters saying they were laid off asking if they want to work on 'LoR 2.0', an unproven project with no ties to any legitimate game studio. It comes off a bit weird.

@dan_estreicher Correction.... he asked if any of the LoR team members that were "let go" wanted to talk with him about working on the project, they should reach out. He is actively trying to support those that lost their jobs. This isn't disrespectful, its kind.

@BaJAtakk Pretty sure hotfixes are based at least as much on public reaction as power level, and whether you agree or not GEM has not seen the same amount of hate as other powerful decks in the past.

#2, #3, #5 most played decks currently try to beat our #1 deck (#4 goes 50/50) yet it still keeps a little under 60% winrate, with balance patch comming in 3,5 WEEKS, wouldn't it be nice to get a HOTFIX?

@AikadoLoR I mean the biggest outcry recently was pre hotfix when heisho FJ came out. I think its less about spells than about people feeling like they don't get to play the game. Spell decks just often make ppl feel like only 1 player is in the game.

@deliriousengine I mean of course that's what it is. It's important though, I think, to identify and point out that the complaints about control decks are rarely about power level and are much more about just not liking when people point spells at your cards.

As long as you don't play 1 drops (aggro), the community loves getting their ass beaten down on board. The huge meltdown when Neddie was 52% w/r, but 62% midrange deck? Based! Yes, cave my face in more pls Mr Galio. I would in fact like another suppression, give it to me Mr Galio

@BaJAtakk I mean there's another champion common to both of those decks that's adding a lot more than 5% wr.

Not to mention that she can also level up and then act as wincon. Amazing showcase how good she is: Galio with Morgana and with Garen, same decks 4% winrate difference. The same goes for shyvana elder, one with 3 shyvana, second with 2 morg and 1 shyvana, same decks 5% diff 3/3

I think Mordekaiser is fine, his only issue is currently Rekindler interaction that is little dumb I think ED is fine, his only issue is currently Deathless boon that is little dumb But I do think that Morgana is just extremely fucked up. 1/3

@AikadoLoR @sleepypunda27 couldn't you give the same screenshot for sera jack a couple days ago, a deck you said didn't feel all that strong? I agree that Siren's Song is a problem but I don't think this screenshot does much to prove that point.

@sleepypunda27 Did I say Sera/Sam was fun to play against? In eternal I can at least play my own form of bullshit and do my thing too, and I could ban Sera/Sam instead of having to deal with 9x lineups. And yeah, I do think you have to pray to catch Siren Song on a bad draw.

I absolutely love Standard, maybe it's that I'm just finally able to fit LoR into my schedule and playing in tournaments after like 3-4 months of being too busy. But standard feels so much better. Not having to build decks around every type of bullshit imaginable is so freeing
