True story: Back when I was young, Breyers was a -- if not the -- top-shelf brand. Their ice cream was real ice cream: milk, sugar, whatever else was needed for the flavors. Just natural, simple ingredients. If you had Breyers in the freezer, you were super-fancy.
Today, Breyers is such crap that many of their products can no longer legally be called ice cream, per the FDA. It has to be labelled "frozen dessert" or some other such nonsense, because it's literally just a bucket of chemicals masquerading as ice cream.
