If this new alien movie turns advanced extraterrestrials into screaming naked cavemen again, I’m gonna lose it. Anything capable of reaching Earth from another star system wouldn’t just be “a little smarter” than us. Their technology would make our best supercomputers look like baby toys. A civilization advanced enough to cross galaxies or manipulate wormholes would probably understand physics in ways we can’t even comprehend yet. That’s what actually makes the idea terrifying. Not claws. Not roaring. Imagine something that could bend space itself. Freeze you in place instantly. Manipulate your senses. Shut down your nervous system before your brain even understands what’s happening. To them, humans wouldn’t be opponents. We’d be closer to ants in a jar….

Something very sick happened to society in over the course of the last 10 or so years where a piece of media can come out featuring "gruff older man protecting surrogate child," which is ONE OF THE OLDEST CLICHES IN STORYTELLING, and the online discussion is about how "men are creepy and want to fuck the child,"...
