I don’t remember backing up for each tank or the two sets of troops.

If this is true, then I have two things to say:
1. Not surprised because the game bombed so hard and likely doesn't have the players to warrant continuing support
2. I have absolutely no reason to trust EA or DICE at all for whatever comes next for Battlefield

Jeff Grubb, on his podcast, also said about Battlefield 2042: "Set your expectations very low for this [BF2042 Season] content. They're just going to get it out fast and dirty. And the idea is to move everyone to the next Battlefield as quick as possible. It's abandon ship time."
