Ten years later, @spacelog remains one of the things I’m most proud of having been involved in. An amazing group of people, and a wonderful, perfect product.

@dracos Yes, but the years we didn't run forts don't count, which goes a long way to explaining 2016 and 2017, although sadly still leaves 2019 an absolute mystery.

Ten years ago, thirteen of us holed up in a fort on Alderney and built spacelog.org -- still live today for some of your crewed spaceflight information needs.

@mountain_ghosts I mean we can't actually prove we didn't invent it by mistake, or just amplify a minor existing lie.

At /dev/fort HQ we have discovered old ACTUAL TAPES OF DIGITAL VIDEO, one of which contains footage of @dracos reading entries from a @LandmarkTrust visitor book.

@dracos Amazingly, no one noticed that in the last video, five years ago — or on the website, which has been around for even longer ;-)

The last sentence is a 3 for 1: It explains the statistical drop, is very funny, and is kind of frightening.

I’m now officially looking at jobs again. Cambridge or London; likely Python or Ruby; contract or (for the right place) permanent.

@richardjpope @handee Wikipedia dumps are possible to get running but fiddly. We have scripts to mirror lots but not very selectively.
