Crocodiles don't die of 'old age' in the traditional sense. If protected from starvation, disease, & accidents, they can easily live for over a century. Unlike most mammals, which stop growing after adulthood, crocodiles grow throughout their lives, as long as they have sufficient food & suitable habitat. Crocodiles are cold-blooded. They rely on external heat to regulate body temperature; their metabolism is very slow, & they can survive for months without food. This particular crocodile, Henry, was notorious as a man-eater in the Okavango River, having killed multiple people in the early 1900s. A hunter named Sir Henry Neumann was sent to catch and kill this problem animal. Instead, he captured the crocodile alive & transferred it to a conservation centre, & so it was named Henry. Henry has fathered >10,000 offspring and remains reproductively active at >125 years of age. Every species, in its own way, is extraordinary.

This is Henry, a Nile crocodile believed to be the oldest known crocodile in the world. He is thought to have been born around 1900

💔 The reason why people are frustrated with dating apps and say they don't work, they suck, they fail: Users go there expecting to find the One for a life-long relationship. In reality, they end up getting tired of using them over and over again with no successful outcome. Users will say it is a UI-UX or even a dating pool on the app problem 🫠 I disagree. It's because they don't solve for people Not being ready for relationships as they use the apps. They don't solve for people Not recognising they've found an Excellent match. They don't solve for people Not being capable of maintaining relationships once they find someone from the app. Ofcourse they use tags like Casual, Casual looking for Serious, Serious, Looking for Marriage... But someone picking a tag doesn't mean they really are that category. People rarely understand themselves and what they want. If these apps tagged people basis their dating behaviours on the app, they'd see more "successful" outcomes. ✅

(Sipping some iced tea I'd grabbed from the event as I type out this bike accident tea for y'all.. show you how I started and ended my day with a bang.. I look great in both btw... and teach you how to get out with just some deep scratches 🗒️) 1/7 Was on the way back home on Rapido bike (affordable and quick in Mumbai evening traffic). Realised driver uncle had suddenly braked, bike was wobbling, and we were about to crash or whatever. Decided to trust him in that moment, not move, relax my body, go with the flow. Good decision because he spent the next few seconds getting the bike to the side before falling on the road.

6/7 Please bear with me: In his 12 years of driving in UP and Mumbai, he's learnt that women drivers tend to only look and focus ahead, take care of themselves, expecting people around them to handle the rest. Men drivers tend to look front and back. He shared another such incident when a lady had flashed a left indicator and taken a sudden right, not looking back, causing a crash of 3 cars and his bike. He told me he stays away from women drivers due to this reason, but because of the gravel ahead this time, he was slowly moving away from her, but she braked badly twice and umm, cut in front of him just where the gravel was. *sigh* He then taught me to observe men and women 4-wheeler and 2-wheeler drivers to show what he was saying (he was, umm, anecdotally right about women in 3 cases, men in 3 cases. It do be like that). When I reached my apartment compound, my mom relayed to him via me how to clean up, what anti-bacterial cream to apply. ⚕️
