It's really interesting how people think that because ChatGPT puts out things that _sound_ human, it _is_ actually thinking.
They don't understand that it isn't thinking at all. it cannot think, it cannot reason. it is not actually considering what it is saying.

@docsquiddy put it best I think when he described art as fundamentally a means of communicating something from author to reader/viewer, and so AI content can never be art because it cannot communicate anything.

The entire premise of this AI stuff, as @docsquiddy said in an article months back, is that these guys don't want ti be artists, they just want the acclaim and respect that artists have. They don't want to make art, they want to be wealthy and acclaimed.

maybe one of the dumbest things ive ever heard any craft worth learning is difficult by definition. i suck at guitar but have been playing on and off since i was a teenager and there is no better feeling than nailing a challenging riff or chord changes after trying for weeks
