@CrosenderWay Fin was outstanding. Up to that first goal it was all Telford but we grew into the game and played some lovely passing football. I don’t think any of that happens though without Jack’s performance in goal

Interesting that in the Everton points deduction verdict the Premier League said “A financial penalty for a club that enjoys the support of a wealthy owner is not a sufficient penalty” and that “the requirements of deterrence, vindication of compliant clubs, and the protection of the integrity of the sport demand a sporting sanction in the form of a points deduction’. Presumably the Chelsea fine (which ultimately is just a deduction from what billion dollar Clearlake will pay to billionaire Abramovich from the £150m held back at the deal date) is then neither punishment, a deterrent or protecting the integrity of the sport? If I was an Everton or Forest fan would not be happy with this outcome.

@RossendaleWhit1 We average around 400-450. We get a decent chunk of Stoke and Vale fans who use us as a 2nd team when they’re away. They were both at home yesterday. Easily 1500+ Bury fans in the ground. Incredible support!

I feel the "winter break" debate coming on again in the Premier League. It’s obviously needed - even with expanded squads, elite players risk fatigue, less training time etc - but too many vested interests preventing it happening.

@KevinLoughlin45 @BarryLenton I’m not keen on segregation. Part of the joy of non league is chatting to opposition supporters. Put them behind a barrier and you get faux hostility like at league matches. Segregating the Woking fans was a bit of a joke

@BarryLenton I went last night. Thought Macc were excellent (better than Tamworth) after the first 15 mins and we looked a bit tired. Surprised the fans weren't segregated, that swapping ends at half-time thing could easily have gone wrong

1337 at Marine last night (about 550 more than at Southport v Spennymoor) though Macclesfield brought 250-300 with them. Horrible night for weather, too.
