@pwharris 100(32)=3200, 25 is 1/4 of 100, so 3200/4=800. 3200+800=4,000.

@MakeMathMoments #mmmsummit2023 Building the entire vision, a marathon, not a sprint. I don’t know what the finished puzzle looks like, but I love the challenge.

@pwharris Quotitive. I know that there are 6 one-sixths in one whole, so there must be 12 one-sixths in two.

Reply to this if you have been classroom teaching 5+ years and still really enjoying it with no intention of leaving - also say what your secrets/tactics are for sustainability.

@pwharris 16 x 45: I used 5 is half of 10, and 15+1 is 16. 10 x 45=450 5 is half of 10, so 5 x 45= 225 1 group of 45 is 45, 450 +225=675 +25 (I have you need) to get to 400, 20 left over, so 720.

@MrCorleyMath My students are creating their own probability models, conducting their own experiments with them, and recording the results to display sample space, etc.

Hey #iteachmath / #mtbos ! Does anyone have a probability project for middle school they would be willing to share? Maybe something like creating your own board game? TIA!!!

@pwharris Since 24 is so close ton25, I multiplied 34 x 100. Then I divided the product by 4, which was 900. I know that 24 is one fewer group of 36 than, so I subtracted one group of 36. I got 864.

I know it's awkward to ask but since it's Teacher Appreciation Day, can people "like" this tweet if you've learned from my math videos? I just want to see who I've impacted. Thank you.

@howie_hua I multiplied 160 x 10, which is 1,600, and then divided it by 2, which is 800.

@pwharris 1/4 of 36 is 9, so 3/4 of 36 is 27. 1 multiplied by 36 is 36. 36+27=63.

@gregtangmath Do you have suggestions on the progression for teaching integer/rational number operations to 7th graders? If anyone has an efficient plan, I am confident it is you!
