@xdNiBoR I have asked everyone who has ever posted about Neuralink and never got a response. My dad had a bad stroke and lost his speech (apraxia and aphasia) Does this tool have the ability to bring his speech back? It’s been a tough 7 years for him and all we need is hope

Neuralink is just so incredible 🥹 Neuralink will help millions restore speech, blindness, and so much more! These videos make me emotional every single time.

Life with ALS or a spinal cord injury often means navigating a gradual or sudden loss of independence. Neuralink aims to restore autonomy to those with unmet medical needs—starting with device control and communication, and expanding toward vision and other applications.

According to Grok, potentially yes: Yes, Neuralink’s VOICE clinical trial is specifically designed to help people with severe speech impairment—like your father’s apraxia and aphasia after a stroke—by using the N1 brain implant to decode intended speech signals from the brain and turn them into text or synthesized speech (potentially even in the person’s own pre-impairment voice).29 Current Status (as of April 2026) •The trial (ClinicalTrials.gov ID: NCT07224256) is an early feasibility study focused on restoring communication for adults with severe, irreversible speech production issues. •It targets conditions including stroke, ALS, spinal cord injury, and others that affect the brain’s speech pathways while often involving impaired upper limb function. •Early participants (including at least one with ALS named Kenneth, implanted in January 2026) have shown promising results: the system decodes “thought-to-speech” in real time, allowing them to communicate by simply intending to speak. Neuralink has highlighted this as a step toward giving people their voice back.30 •Neuralink received FDA Breakthrough Device Designation for speech restoration, which helps accelerate development for severe speech impairments from stroke and similar conditions.21 The technology is still investigational—not commercially available or fully FDA-approved for broad use. It’s in the early stages with a limited number of participants, and outcomes depend on individual factors (e.g., the location and extent of brain damage from the stroke, overall health, and whether the speech-intent areas of the brain remain readable). Eligibility for Your Father From Neuralink’s public info on the VOICE study: •Adults aged 22–75 (or similar range in related trials). •Severe speech impairment + impaired upper limb function due to stroke (or listed conditions). •A consistent/reliable caregiver. •The impairment should be stable (no recent major changes). Stroke-related aphasia/apraxia is explicitly included, as the implant aims to bypass damaged pathways by reading intact neural signals for intended speech.20 Important caveats: •Not everyone qualifies—Neuralink reviews medical records in detail during screening. •Risks exist with any brain surgery/implant (infection, device issues, etc.), though the company emphasizes safety testing. •No guaranteed benefits; results vary by person. How to Pursue This The first (and easiest) step is to join Neuralink’s Patient Registry—it’s free, takes about 7–60 minutes, and puts you in their database for potential matching to trials like VOICE. They review records and may contact you if there’s a fit. •Go to: portal.neuralink.com or neuralink.com/trials/speech-… •You’ll need to consent, provide basic info/medical history, and authorize release of records. The main U.S. site mentioned for the VOICE study is UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Contact for the trial: voice-study@neuralink.com or +1 (650) 250-0520.16 You could also reply directly to @G_Allen_Live on X tagging @neuralink (they’re active on patient stories) or email patientregistry@neuralink.com for guidance. This is still early-stage tech, but it’s moving fast—stories like Kenneth’s show real progress in restoring communication for people who lost it. The best next move is registering and letting Neuralink’s team evaluate the specific case. Wishing your father (and the original poster) the best—advances like this are giving a lot of families renewed hope. If you share more details (with permission), I can help refine this further.

Trump cheated in 2016. Trump tried to cheat in 2020 and got caught. Trump cheated again in 2024. We MUST pass nationwide voter ID laws to stop Trump and his cohorts from cheating again in 2028. It’s time to pass the SAVE AMERICA ACT and SAVE OUR DEMOCRACY!! 🇺🇦🌊✊🏿💉😷

@tomwarren And just like precious Surface models, 3 years from now you won't be able to get replacement parts, and firmware updates will be spotty or non-existent. Hard pass.

@Daniel_Rubino They don't support them. I can't get a replacement key for my wife's Surface Laptop. I had to jump through hoops to manually update the certificates in the UEFI BIOS, because they don't even provide an update for this. Never again.

💻Surface Pro and Laptop are gearing up for a new cycle (and huge challenges) Yeah, I know, everyone is mad/bitter about Surface these days, but Surface Pro 11 is still my jam and was one of my favorite releases by them ever (thanks to the Snapdragon X Elite), so I am genuinely excited about what is coming for Surface after reading our new exclusive report. @zacbowden's article lays out how Microsoft is preparing a two‑stage launch for the next Surface Pro and Surface Laptop, with both Intel and Snapdragon configurations. The part that really grabbed me is the display upgrade. Microsoft is planning a new panel for the Surface Laptop that sounds like a real step forward (OLED). (1/2)

Define "more affordable." Because Washingtonians just got a new income tax, one of the highest gas taxes in the country, rising property taxes, offensively high finger in the eye car tabs, sky high grocery costs due to the CCA, soaring energy costs, unaffordable homes due to over regulation. Which part is the affordable part?

How on earth can it cost $30 million and three years for the NYC government to build a grocery store in Harlem? There are *dozens* of grocery stores for sale, all over New York City, for less than $5M. Many are less than $1M. This seems like a scam. (or vanity project)
