@sameQCU Have you smelled hawthorn? It's nearby almond space. The primacy goes smth like peppermint > hawthorn/bread > cherry/medicine.

A new bridge between bread and mint space has been found! Once was a crazy coincidence (carvone is spearmint and caraway), but now with a second distinct bridge, it looks like this relation may have a wider structural motif!

This is the caraway-spearmint bridge. @algekalipso. Like Herbenone, we have a methyl cyclohexene, but now the oxygen is a ring ketone instead of a tail ketone. Many nearby structures fail to show the bread-mint bridge. Maybe piperitone can be included, but it's very vague.

@donkcrow No! Maybe that's salt soda?? This one is a novel compound, not a blend! I made it once before when I flew to Boston, but it leaked so badly that I had to throw it out. I've been meaning to make another batch to use in root beer, but none have yet come out with saxovanisal.

Keep an eye on this guy for me. Right now it smells like orange flower and vanilla, but soon it'll turn black and smell of smooth, grapey root beer.

I come across a lot of spiritual people who have never really enjoyed physics and sort of blank out when I try to introduce models of weird conscious phenomena they have experienced. Any advice on how I could talk to avoid this reaction?

I have heard several people discuss entering into communion with deities or into separate realms by following pixel-point changes that extend into long corridors. In my case, these pinpricks happen on heart space and not visually, so a tunnel seems like inconvenient geometry.

Mysteriously, extremely high valence has often shown itself to me like pinpricks of dense wet sugar space. They offer no onramp, and I'm not yet skilled enough to accept the energy without shivering distractingly, but it's quite vivid!

The highest moments seem to occur when joy couples to the body and concretizes, but in this situation, I am also susceptible to batch-enhancing reactive tension with joy. As energy spreads out somatically, nervous "bumps" of pain/distraction may occur-- especially in heart space.

Somehow it does just get easier to "press the joy button" and I can only really point to the time I've spent soaking in joy (via anapanasati). Even with trash concentration, it is now 100x easier to see pleasure arise.

Jhana practice is hard when you are looking for signs of joy and end up anchoring to the physical reactions to joy. So far, it's like trying to handle pure light-- it has volume, but not for grasping, and actions within it cast shadows (to less positive affective valence).

@RuiCarrilho5 One of the main virtues of this book is it helps dispel doubt in the path. It gives practical advice, but tbh I don't remember much of it. The main thing that stuck was the discussion of "morality, the first and last training."
