@BishopBarron uses Weigel 2003 claim that the determination of whether war is just according to the Church’s guidelines is a subjective judgement by civil authorities. But @CardinalMcElroy in interview with me @The_Tablet says no, these are an “objective measure”, ie true or not?

God does not bless any conflict. Anyone who is a disciple of Christ, the Prince of Peace, is never on the side of those who once wielded the sword and today drop bombs. Military action will not create space for freedom or times of #Peace, which comes only from the patient promotion of coexistence and dialogue among peoples.

All men and women, especially Christians, are called to fix their gaze on those who suffer, on the pain of the lonely, and on those who are emarginated for various reasons, for without them we cannot build a just society. Only together can we build communities of solidarity capable of caring for everyone, in which wellbeing and peace can flourish for the benefit of all. Caring for the humanity of others helps us to live our own lives to the full.

Education is habituation/formation; you can't offload it. No one thinks AI can lift weights for you. Similarly, it cannot develop a mind for you. Sadly, we have an education system that has forgotten this, that has made itself transactional, narrowly focused on credentials.

I'm interested in the thing I will see that other people wouldn't have seen, and I think AI typically sees what everybody else would see. I'm not saying that AI can't be useful, but I'm pretty against shortcuts. And obviously, you have to limit the amount of work you're doing. You can't read literally everything.
