Democratic Rep. Adam Gray launched his reelection campaign in one of the toughest U.S. House districts in the country, CA-13. His message: "Stop sending people back to office who continue to just blame the other side... start voting for people who will work across the aisle."

🚨Yesterday, we passed @RepGolden’s bill to restore collective bargaining rights for over 1 million federal employees. We’re proud to lead the resistance to Trump’s union-busting, & we’re winning. Now the Senate needs to immediately pass this bill and deliver for working people.
Congressman Jared Golden@RepGolden

🚨Despite all the forces against us, the House has PASSED my bill to restore union rights to roughly 1 million federal employees!🚨 This is solidarity in action. I'm proud of the bipartisan coalition who passed this bill & I urge the Senate to join us in standing up for workers.

The US House passes bill to nullify Trump’s executive order stripping labor rights from federal workers. Rep. Jared Golden (D-ME) forced House floor action on his bill once his discharge petition received the 218 signatures (a majority) from House members. Bill now goes to the Senate. 20 Republicans voted in favor.

a bit of history: the last time a discharge petition filed by a member of the House minority got 218 signatures was in January 2002, on a version of the McCain-Feingold campaign finance reform bill that petition was led by Rep. Jim Turner of Texas, a past Blue Dog co-chair 🐶
Craig Caplan@CraigCaplan

Members will also vote on Maine Democratic Rep. Jared Golden’s discharge petition, which has the 218 signers needed to force a floor vote on his bill to repeal a Trump executive order that banned collective bargaining agreements at gov’t agencies with “national security interests” including the Pentagon.

Permitting reform decides whether clean energy gets built, communities see investment, and we meet our economic and energy goals. @RepGolden is one of the few Democrats taking this seriously and focusing on results, not politics. Grateful for his service and leadership.

Only a handful of the 600+ discharge petitions in the history of Congress have ever earned enough signatures to force a vote. Mine is now one of them. It’s a major accomplishment, but the ultimate goal still remains: We must reverse Trump’s executive order which represents the largest act of union-busting in American history. mainepublic.org/politics/2025-…

I got my ass handed to me yesterday in debate, but I am profoundly encouraged to have been a small part of the long work of affirming that in America, we choose our leaders. Thank you to the 22 Democrats who stood with me.
Jamie Dupree@jamiedupree

The House has approved a resolution rebuking Rep. Chuy Garcia D-IL for quietly insuring that his chief of staff would be the only Dem primary candidate for his seat in 2026. 23 Democrats joined with almost all Republicans on this 'disapproval' resolution.
