Over the past few weeks, I have seen several posts from people in the #writingcommunity that are giving up on their dreams to write and publish their books. They are exhausted from trying so hard to market with no success. What advice would you give them? Do you feel the same?

@LindenmuthWendi I write for me, for my own pleasure. Focusing on the sales ruins the joy for me. I hope people enjoy my work but once I publish (self), it’s out of my hands. I promote but I don’t kill myself over it. I could do more to promote my work but I know that wouldn’t bring me joy.

@AlyssaGoodwitch yes - with my first serious boyfriend. my prom. it was fun. i was asked to prom when i was 13 by a different guy (who was 17) but that's another story. he lived three hours away and i did not go.
