@RedNinetyFour What do you mean, our record makes it worse? Our record is literally the exact same as last season, and Sengun’s stats are better this season.

I didn’t think Alpi deserved it. He hasn’t been good for his standards, esp. post injury. And our record makes it worse. Having said that, it feels unreal that he’s now a 2x all-star and household name, having been here on ground zero thinking “how is no one else seeing this?”

I said two summers ago on here that I thought the Rockets would have, amongst their peak core trio, what I considered would eventually be Sengun/Amen/Reed, the most unique blend of skill sets in the league. (I considered Jabari/Tari interchangeable ancillary pieces, and while a lot of people were mad, I was out on Jalen by that point). You could eventually once they develop be looking at an offensive hub big, the most freakish athlete in the league, and an elite shooting pick and roll floor general, all under 23. Just an insanely fun and beautifully complementary mix of talents.

Yeah, don’t try to use logical fallacies on me. Perhaps claiming false causes works on others, but it won’t on me. If you’re right, and all of Sengun’s obvious improvements are due to external forces, then he wouldn’t be among the top of the league in On/Off stats. Virtually every category for the Rockets plummets when he’s off the court. If anything, his improvements are fueling others, not vice versa.

@JasonHuebinger @RocketsEco87 You didn't read, Jason. I said 3pt% is too early w/ 20 attempts on low volume. His assists are because he's the hub without FVV & Jalen. His rating is about playing w/ KD instead of Jalen. Plz read next time, Jason

Upon further review, Sengun has not shown any improvement from last yr. FT shooting is dipping back to the norm. 3 pt shooting isn't worth talking about until we have a bigger sample size. 2 pt FG% is the same issue as last yr

@HSTPodcast @RocketsEco87 You are missing the forest for the trees by concentrating on minor details while ignoring major strides (substantial improvements in 3p%, assist stats, OFFRTG, and NetRTG). I mean, his NetRTG has skyrocketed from 7.6 to 20.2.

@RocketsEco87 @JasonHuebinger FG% is 47.3% compared to 49.6% last yr. FT% slightly up but trending back to norm. PPG are same. Rebounds down. Assists up because he's initiating without FVV & Jalen. The leap he needs is efficiency. It's not like I hate him. Sorry for stating facts
